1960s VTG Formal Dress Prom Homecoming XXS XS Saks Wedding Audrey Hepburn Bride.
Simple, but gorgeous dress. White empire waist dress with bow at waist, darted bust, and pink tulle peeking out at bust. The tag reads “Safinia, A Saks Fifth Avenue Exclusive,” and sewn into a seam is the ILGWU tag used between 1962-1963 (without the “r”). This is very small, and is likely best for an XXS – please see measurements.
Condition: This dress was quite stained when I received it. It has been cleaned by myself, and has come a long way. A few tiny blemishes remain. There are two small marks on top of the right shoulder, one faint smudge in center of bust. The tip of one end of the bow has a light yellow-stain to it (it was originally dark yellow). Underneath the bow, there is very faint evidence of yellow stains which were 98% removed by myself. Also, the pink tulle is frayed on the left side – this is not visible from the outside of the dress.
